I can see you!

Ah hah! I figured it out! I've tried to draw faces that look more or less realistic, but they've been... Pinched is the best way to describe it. And i finally figured out why. I need to draw my eyes shorter. If i think about it later tonight i'll put up some examples.

So today I was at the library. It was there that I was witness to a little bit of amazingness.

I was sitting there mucking about on my computer near the kids movies/books on cd (okay, so I like to enjoy books from my adolescence, alright?) and a lady with a young child began browsing the DVDs. Apparently one of the DVDs had some horse or something in it that was of particular interest to the youngster as I overheard Mommy saying something to that effect. But what was amazing is that she said "... after me and Daddy watch it to make sure it's okay."

I was amazed... a parental unit actually taking responsibility for their child?! No way! But there it was...

And I salute you, the Mommies and Daddies that actually care about age-appropriate entertainment for their children.

Since you hate me( I get the vibe) I will never contact or bother you again. Sorry for ever wasting your time.

Hmm, that's interesting.

I thought something along the lines of
I love my boyfriend and hold no feelings for you. Move on.

Perhaps I'm wrong in my assumption of who wrote that.... if I am, I apologize.

I didn't have anything to say to you when I saw you, and it really didn't seem like you were jumping up and down trying to talk to me. Like it or don't, I certainly have moved on. There has, however, been no waste of my time... even negative comments with faulty assumptions (How do you know I didn't think you hated me? After all you didn't say anything to me...)

meh, anyway, I'm going to clean my room... whatever makes you happy though! Hopefully your boyfriend does...

Broken Butterfly

One day on my journey,
Lost in my own thoughts,
I came across a butterfly,
laying there,
bruised and broken.

To pass her by?
No, perhaps she'll die.

Shaken from my reverie,
I lifted her quite tenderly.

I gave her nectar and straightened her wings,
and a soft place to sleep, and other things.

To show her thanks,
she stayed with me,
her graceful flight,
lifted my spirit.

Her beauty and kindness
captured me.
Her sweet caress
comforted me.

The joy she brings,
as she wings,
bright colors flashing,
and now I'm smiling.

On that day when I came across a butterfly,
how glad I am that I did not pass her by.
